The Strategic plan of Tirunelveli would strive to make the city a sustainable, safe and liveable city by strengthening its weakness, eliminating the threats and utilizing its strength and opportunities. The blueprint primarily focuses on the following components based on the SWOT analysis of the city on following areas : Heritage and Tourism, ICT Intervention in Trunk Infrastructure, Improvised Transportation and Allied Structures, e-Governance, Ecological Sustainable Development, Economical Uplifment, Fiscal Sustainability.
