Tirunelveli alias Nellai in Tamil Nadu, is a 2000 year old city located on the west bank of the only perennial river of the south, the Tamraparni. Considered as the sixth largest city in Tamil Nadu, The Tirunelveli Smart City Special Purpose Vehicle has identified 37 of more development work under the Smart City mission and will be executed at a cost of Rs. 850 crore. These projects are already approved by the Smart City Board of Directors. Various projects are now being executed for solid waste management, Water supply system, energy efficiency, Modernization of bus stands, construction of trade centre, etc. Apart from this, new roads, solar lights, LED street lights, etc are to be installed. We encourage the citizen involvement and participation in the implementation of smart city projects.
Tirunelveli Smart City has the highest priority to improve the citizen life style and sustainable growth of the city. I encourage the Tirunelvelians to support the city development.
